See how a junior golfer improved through clear structure, better practice, and guided development

🔵 THE GOLFER
Meet Amber – A Dedicated Junior Golfer with Elite Potential
Amber is a 16-year-old junior golfer who has been playing the game for over 10 years.
She trains consistently throughout the year, working weekly through the winter and regularly during the summer, alongside on-course sessions to develop her performance in competition environments.
Amber is highly driven, competitive, and extremely hard working. She also has a natural advantage — generating exceptional speed and distance for her age, putting her at a level comparable to elite players.
She had the ability… but needed structure to maximise it.
🔵 THE PROBLEM
High Potential, Inconsistent Performance
Despite her talent and speed, Amber struggled with:
inconsistent strike and clubface control
large variations in ball flight (high slices to low hooks)
technical inconsistencies in swing plane and path
lapses in concentration during play
confidence dips under pressure in competition
👉 With her level of speed, small errors led to big misses.
This made scoring inconsistent and held her back from reaching the level her ability suggested.
🔵 WHAT WE FOUND
The Real Issue – Speed Without Structure
Through coaching and data, it became clear:
swing plane and path were inconsistent
clubface control varied significantly through impact
movement patterns changed under pressure
high clubhead speed (7 iron ~80mph) amplified errors
👉 Amber had more than enough ability…
👉 But without structure, that speed became difficult to control.
🔵 WHAT WE CHANGED
Building Control, Understanding & Structure
We introduced a complete development system:
Technical changes to improve backswing, swing plane and path
Clear education on ball flight laws and clubface control
Structured practice sessions with specific goals
On-course coaching to transfer skills into performance
Competition preparation using course planning and strategy
Pre-round routines focused on confidence and clarity
👉 The focus wasn’t just technique…
👉 It was helping Amber understand her game and perform with control.
🔵 THE RESULT
Long-Term Development & Competitive Success
Amber’s development has been built over time through structured coaching:
Handicap reduced from 15.2 → 1.9
Significant improvement in strike consistency and ball flight control
Greater control of her speed and distance
Increased confidence and composure in competition
👉 Most importantly: Amber has achieved multiple wins across all levels, including:
Club competitions
County events
Overseas events
She now combines elite-level speed with control and understanding — giving her a clear pathway for continued high-level performance.
