It’s only natural for a person to try out a sport before fully committing to a training regime. That being said, golf is a very easy game to get wrong if given the wrong advice and building up bad habits early on will cost you later in your golfing career.
This is where I come in, with my 10+ years in coaching, we can identify and remove those bad habits early on and set you on the right path.
This is what the beginner course is all about, teaching you the basics of the game and helping set up the right mindset and habits that will help later on.
Getting your start in golf is a lot easier than it once was. It’s not all private clubs for the rich and wealthy these days. Of course, these clubs still exist but there are several ways for you to join in, have fun and learn a new skill. With the added bonus of an outdoor lifestyle.
There are several ranges up and down the UK that have beginner sessions run by England Golf but if you are serious about learning the game starting off the right way will pay dividends later on.
Your beginner sessions will be fun, cheerful and informative as we play short games together alongside others starting out. I find at this stage playing in a group helps motivate you with some friendly competition with people of the same skill.
Want to learn with a friend? The beginner group sessions are the best place to start. The friendly atmosphere always breeds healthy competition between friends and it will bring out the best in both of you.
These sessions will be lighthearted and open. If you have a question, ask away. Not quite sure on the terminology we will go over it again until you are satisfied, you’re the boss.
The 6-hour programme will be used within the first few months to work on a variety of clubs and shots to give you a good base knowledge of the entire game.
With this programme, you set the pace. Do you want to try some different locations? Not a problem. Are you in need of some tips and tricks, I’ve got you covered?
After this programme, I’m sure you will be hooked and be as passionate about the game as I am.
